SDSM&T Policy Manual

The South Dakota Board of Regents has directed that the policies of the board be made available in the major university administrative offices. The policies of SDSM&T are grouped and renumbered according to the subject arrangement used by the Board of Regents.

The review of policies at both the board and SDSM&T levels is an ongoing process. New and revised policies will be distributed for inclusion as they are approved.

In using these policies, you are urged to check both the board and SDSM&T policies if you would like information about a specific matter. Many of the SDSM&T policies address matters that are mandated by state or federal law to be specific for each university while board policies address matters that are applicable to the entire system.

You may also find it helpful to recall that the policies of the Board of Regents that are in the process of review by the Board staff and the various councils may also indicate reference to an earlier policy manual as a reminder to those who are responsible for completing the review. Should you have need for assistance in working with this or any other aspect of either the Board or SDSM&T policies, please contact the Office of the President, at (605) 394-2411.
