Christy Horn
Vice President for University Relations
Mrs. Horn continues a long tradition of community service on the Executive Committee and Board of Directors for United Way of the Black Hills, the Board of Directors for Destination Rapid City, the Advisory Committee of the Terra Sancta Retreat Center, the Governmental Affairs Committee of the Rapid City Area Chamber of Commerce, and on the Citizens Advisory Council of Black Hills Power. She is a member of the president’s Executive Council, University Advisory Board, and the university’s Threat Assessment Team and Emergency Response and Planning Team.
Mrs. Horn earned her bachelor of science in political science and journalism and Master of Arts in executive development for public service from Ball State University in Indiana. She holds a certificate in fundraising management from the Center on Philanthropy at Indiana University and completed the Crisis Leadership in Higher Education program at the Harvard Kennedy School of Graduate School of Education.
