Nanoscience and Nanoengineering
Nanotechnology is a cross-disciplinary field that involves the manipulation of matter at “nano” length scales, at which new properties and phenomena emerge. These nanomaterials consist of small collections of atoms and molecules. The science and engineering research to analyze and tailor these materials requires professionals with a broad understanding of fundamental principles and the ability to draw connections between traditionally disparate fields, such as physics, chemistry, and biology.
The Nano-SE program provides opportunities for scientists and engineers to address these challenges through a suite of courses aimed at graduate and upper-level undergraduate students. The
