High Plains Regional Science and Engineering Fair

The 59th Annual High Plains Regional Science and Engineering Fair (HPRSEF) was held on March 21, 2014 on the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology's campus.

We want to thank all of the students who participated this year; you helped us make 2014 a record year with more projects than ever before! Also we want to send out a big thank you to all of the judges and volunteers who dedicated their time to help make the day a success.

Congratulations to Jackson Peterson this year's 59th Annual High Plains Regional Science and Engineering Fair overall winners! Peterson's biological sciences project: Microevolution of bacillus subtilis in response to isopropanol stress too the highest honor during the fair and has qualified him to attend and compete against projects from across the globe at the  Intel International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF) fair on May 11-16 in Los Angeles, CA.
