It’s Alarming!

You will create your own alarm system to protect something in the classroom. You will learn about the engineering design process to create and test your alarms.

Acids and Bases

Through the use of pH paper and red cabbage juice indicators, you will learn the difference between acids and bases. You will then get the chance to think like engineers and learn why acids and bases are important to ALL engineers!

Water Rockets

Thursday, February 21, 2013
You will create your own water rocket while learning about chemical reactions! You will get a chance to test them out to observe the effect of surface area on thrust. (Be warned: You may get wet!)

You will get the chance to use triangulation and measurement to learn about Global Positioning System (GPS). Next, test out your new GPS skills to locate the location of different objects.
