A valid library card is required to check out material from the Devereaux Library and to access some of the library’s online resources.
On-Campus Students, Faculty and Staff
Current students and SDSM&T faculty and staff must obtain a campus id at the StudentAcccounts/Cashiering Services located in Surbeck Center. This campus id also serves as a library card. Student records
are automatically entered into the library system; faculty and staff must contact the library (firstname.lastname@example.org) to be entered into the library system.
SD Mines Distance Students
SD Mines distance students may obtain a Devereaux Library card (not a campus id) directly from the library. Please contact us.
Students at other South Dakota Regental Institutions
Students registered at any SouthDakota regental institution are welcome to use the facilities and resources of the Devereaux Library. In order to check out
materials, a regental student must obtain a valid campus id from his/her home institution:
Access to electronic databases is determined by availability at the student’s home institution.
Area residents are welcome to use the facilities and resources of the Devereaux Library. Those area residents who wish to check out materials may purchase a card at the Devereaux Library. Area resident cards do not grant access to all of the library’s electronic resources or to the campus wi-fi
