Imaging Laboratory

Imaging LabThe Imaging Laboratory serves as a space for data capture and imaging of fossil and mineral specimens with a variety of equipment, including a stereomicroscope with an attached camera, a 3D laser scanner, and a macro-photography station. Visitors are invited to watch work in progress through the lab’s windows.

The James E. Martin Paleontology Research Laboratory is a research component of the SDSM&T Museum of Geology.  It is not open for public tour.
