The South Dakota Board of Regents will not finalize Tuition, Fees, Room, Board and Tablet PC rental until early April, 2017, so the above figures for these items are estimates only.

Rounding for Tuition/Fees and campus Room/Board is to the nearest $10.

On-Campus room estimate of $4080 is the average of all residence hall and apartment options  from fall 2016.

* Minnesota Reciprocity rates are generally determined late summer.  Like the 2016-2017 academic year in which the Minnesota Reciprocity rate was the same as for South Dakota residents, the Tuition Rate noted above is estimated to be the same again for 17-18 until the change, if any, is known.

** WUE: Western Undergraduate Exchange Program - includes Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oregon, South Dakota, Utah, Washington, Wyoming, and the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands. New freshmen and transfer students beginning fall 2016 are eligible for this program.

The above estimate for Fees reflects those fees that are both mandatory and common for the majority of students.  Your actual charges will likely be different than stated above based upon the actual number of credit hours you are enrolled in.
