New for Fall, 2014 - Rocker Square Apartments

Rocker Square RAsRocker Square is the newest addition to residential living. Rocker Square I opened in 2012 and Rocker Square II opened in 2013. Both loft-style buildings feature exposed ceilings and stained cement floors to give the building an industrial loft feel. The complex will house sophomore students and be managed by Residence Life starting Fall 2014. More information about each building is below. Rocker Square I

Rocker Square I will be home to 116 sophomores and 3 Resident Assistants. Rocker Square I features a community study room and the office of the Assistant Director of Residence Life. Rocker Square I has 4-bedroom, 3-bedroom, and 2-bedroom units; all bedrooms are singles. Rocker Square residents are required to have a meal plan; a Rocker Square meal plan is avaialble (in addition to all other plans) only to Rocker Square residents. Amenities of Rocker Square I include:

  • Free laundry in each unit
  • Wireless Internet Access
  • Cable Television
  • Furnished living rooms with couch, loveseat, tables, and television
  • Furnished bedrooms with full-sized bed, dresser, desk/chair
  • Kitchen with full-sized refrigerator, microwave, and dishwasher plus bar seating
  • 4-bedroom units include 2 full bathrooms. 3-bedroom and 2-bedroom units include 1 full bathroom.
  • Parking available in one of 3 Rocker Square lots, or in main campus lots. Rocker Square parking is limited and avaialble on a first come, first serve basis starting July 1 (through Parking Services).
  • USPS delivers mail and packages directly to assigned Rocker Square I mailbox. Packages sent via FedEx or UPS delivered to Surbeck Mailroom.

Rocker Square II

Rocker Square II will be home to 138 sophomores and 3 Resident Assistants. Rocker Square II has 4-bedroom, 3-bedroom, and 2-bedroom units. Most 4-bedroom units are designed with 3 single bedrooms and 1 double bedroom; some 4-bedroom units are designed with 4 single bedrooms. 3-bedroom and 2-bedroom units have single bedrooms. Rocker Square residents are required to have a meal plan; a Rocker Square meal plan is avaialble (in addition to all other plans) only to Rocker Square residents. Amenities of Rocker Square II include:

  • Pay laundry in each unit
  • Wired Internet Access (For wireless, students should plan on bringing their own wireless router--one per apartment is recommended)
  • Cable Television
  • Semi-Furnished living rooms with couch, chair, and tables
  • Furnished bedrooms with extra-long single bed, dresser, desk/chair
  • Kitchen with full-sized refrigerator, microwave, and dishwasher plus bar seating
