Job Searches
Getting the job of your choice requires more than just having a degree. Your degree will open many doors, but it is up to you to obtain the job you desire. Develop a plan. The more committed you are to your job search, the greater your chances of finding the job you really want!
Job searches are a marketing campaign where you have to sell yourself. After you identify potential employers, you then need to convince them that you are a "good fit" for that company. Remember – you are competing against candidates from other universities as well.
Timing can be a critical factor in the job search. If a company has no openings at the time of your initial contact, follow up in a couple months to let them know you're still interested. Perseverance sometimes pays off!
