Health Benefits

The State of South Dakota provides School of Mines employees with a choice between three health insurance plans. The School of Mines covers 100% of benefit-eligible employees’ monthly premium with additional options for dependents. More information can be found at the Bureau of Human Resources’ Benefit website. Contribution rates can be found here.

Open enrollment is usually in May each year. New employees have 60 days to enroll in benefits.
