Flight Night with Aero Design

GRADES: K-8
DATES:
Friday, March 15, and Friday, March 29*
TIME: 6:00-8:00 PM
COST: $25 (Limited scholarships are available to cover the cost -- provided on a first-come, first-served basis.)

Spend a night with Aero team’s members learning about our team, flying our simulators, and building a small plane to take home as a souvenir!

Aero team members will take you on a personal tour of the CAT lab where they design and build their plane. The South Dakota Mines students will give you time to fly the simulators they use to train on before flying their competition plane. One of the experienced flight members will do a flying demonstration and the night will end by building your own balsa wood plane to take home. This event is packed with hands on activities and stations to learn about the physics behind flight and even possible future paths the industry may dive into.

This is a popular event so be sure it's on your calendar!

Soar with the South Dakota Mines Aero Design team and watch your dreams take flight.

*Minimum enrollment must be met.
