RAPID CITY, S.D. (Nov. 21, 2013) – The Career Service
Council has named Nathan Belcher the Traditions of Excellence Award recipient
for November 2013.
Belcher is a computer support specialist with the ITS
A relatively new hire, the nominator said, “He is making a
name for himself by providing an outstanding level of IT Support. Nathan has
demonstrated a real pride in providing the highest level of support. On top of
that Nathan is always friendly and appears to be in a good mood, no matter how
many computers he’s had to work on that day.”
The Career Service Council, in
conjunction with the President’s Office, instituted the Traditions of
Excellence Award to honor a career service employee who has performed their
assigned duties at a high level or above and beyond expectations, taken the
initiative to promote the concept of successful job completion and promoted a
positive working relationship with students, faculty and staff.
Founded in 1885, the South Dakota School of Mines &
Technology is a science and engineering research university located in Rapid
