Cindy Westphal named Jan. Traditions of Excellence Award

RAPID CITY, S.D. (Feb. 4, 2014) – Cindy Westphal, senior claims clerk, Department of Finance & Administration, has been named the Traditions of Excellence Award recipient for January 2014.

Nominators cited Westphal’s positivity and kindness in the workplace even as she carries a heavy workload, adding “She responds to questions quickly and always goes the extra mile to find out answers if she doesn’t know them.”

Westphal will receive her certificate at the Feb. 20 career service general membership meeting.

The Career Service Council, in conjunction with the President’s Office selects TEA recipients based on performance of assigned duties at a high level or above and beyond expectations, initiative taken to promote the concept of successful job completion and promotion of a positive working relationship with students, faculty and staff.
