Death investigation at School of Mines
Release Date Thursday, November 21, 2013

RAPID CITY, S.D. (Nov. 21, 2013) – Rapid City Police were called to the South Dakota School of Mines & Technology campus at 11 a.m. on Nov. 21 for an unattended death. Police found an unresponsive male faculty member, and he was declared deceased on scene. The death does not appear suspicious at this time, and police do not believe there is any active public safety risk at SDSMT.

Family members who cannot reach a faculty member to confirm their safety should call 605-394-2411.
