Second Annual STEMinist Star Glow Run to Benefit Girls Inc.

RAPID CITY, S.D. (March 16, 2017) – The South Dakota School of Mines & Technology’s Women in Science & Engineering (WiSE) and Alpha Omega Epsilon sorority will host the second annual STEMinist Star 3K Glow Fun Run/Walk on Saturday, April 1, to raise money for Girls Inc.

Registration will be from 7-7:30 p.m. at Main Street Square, and the race begins at 7:30 p.m. finishing back at Main Street Square.

“Partnering with Girls Inc. is a natural fit for both WiSE and Alpha Omega Epsilon to encourage young girls to develop strong leadership skills, a sense of sisterhood and to encourage the natural ability and interest in STEM fields,” said Lisa Carlson, Director of Student Success.

Registration is $20 for students and $25 for community members, with kids 12 and under free. All proceeds go to Youth & Family Service’s Girls Inc. program.
