RAPID CITY, S.D. (March 25, 2013) - Darren Clabo, State Fire Meteorologist and South Dakota School of Mines & Technology faculty member, will present a special seminar, "2013 Fire Weather Outlook," at 3 p.m. Thursday, March 28.
Last year's extremely dry conditions led to a record wildfire season. Clabo, an atmospheric sciences faculty member at the School of Mines, will discuss this year's fire weather outlook in room 320 of the Mineral Industries Building on the School of Mines campus, 501 E. Saint Joseph St.
The Mineral Industries Building is located next to Devereaux Library on East Saint Joseph Street.
The presentation is free and open to the public.
