SIOUX FALLS --- The South Dakota School of Mines lone representative at the NAIA Region III golf tournament in Sioux Falls Tuesday finished out the season strong placing just outside the Top 10.

Hardrocker Brandon Eisenbraun ended the two-day 36-hole event in 11th place with a total score of 156. The sophomore Chemical and Mechanical double major from Yankton, S.D.,  shot a 77 on Day 1 of the event and came back with a 72 in the second round held at Elmwood Golf Course.

“Brandon played really well,” said Hardrocker head coach Eric Glenn. “He had a great first day. He just had a bad nine holes on Day 2. He’s only a sophomore so he got some good experience out of it.”

The talented young linkster even managed an eagle on the back nine on Day 1 and just missed a couple of birdie putts on the first couple holes of the first round as well.

“Overall it was a good two days for Brandon,” Glenn added.

Eisenbraun reached the Region III Meet by finishing in the Top 10 in the Dakota Athletic Conference and by doing so earned all conference honors. The golf season started back in September and after a winter break, DAC teams finished up the season in mid April.
