RAPID CITY — Can’t make it to see your favorite local college sports team on the gridiron or court? No problem. Both the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference and the Dakota Athletic Conference have recently signed agreements with B2 Networks to offer live pay-per-view broadband video Web casts of all conference football, basketball and volleyball contests starting with the 2008-2009 school year.

Mines focuses on new gym floor (7-7-08)

RAPID CITY — The South Dakota School of Mines and Technology has made several updates to its athletic facilities over the past several years with the addition of a new track and field turf for the football team as well as completion of new locker rooms for both the men and women.

SDM hoopsters getting new hard court (6-11-08)

RAPID CITY --- Over the past several years the School of Mines has done a lot of upgrading to its athletic facilities, and this spring it’s the school’s basketball court that’s getting an upgrade.
According to Athletic Director Hugh Welsh a crew has been hard at work since May 6 replacing the old gym floor with new maple hardwood which was long overdue.

Vedei named to WCBA's All American HM list (6-01-08)

RAPID CITY --- The awards, accolades and elations are still pouring in for South Dakota School of Mines women’s basketball standout Melanie Vedvei. The Industrial Engineering graduate most recently received another huge honor, being named to the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association State Farm Coaches’ All-American Basketball Team as an NAIA Honorable Mention selection.

DAC to stream all sporting events next season with partnership with B2 Networks

 DICKINSON, ND --- B2 Networks and the Dakota Athletic Conference today announced a multi-year partnership to broadcast regular season and conference championship events from the campuses of the conference’s eight members. The partnership, which is the first between B2 Networks and an NAIA conference, will begin with the 2008-09 academic year.

Minot, N.D.  --- The No. 25-ranked Hardrockers held MSU to just 37.5 percent shooting and got a combined 40 points from Bethany Holyoak and Loryn Schuetzle to upset the No. 21-ranked Beavers 72-70 in Dakota Athletic Conference women’s basketball Saturday at the MSU Dome.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. --- After a very heartbreaking weekend in which the South Dakota School of Mines women's basketball team not only lost two Dakota Athletic Conference games, the Lady Hardrockers also lost their star All American athlete Melanie Vedvei. On the plus side, the SDM ladies managed to stay in the national sites, earning No. 25 in the latest NAIA Top 25 poll.
