High Plains Regional Science and Engineering Fair

Schedule of Events:
7:00 am to 8:30 am
Project check-in and set-up—All projects must be checked in at the King Center Lobby

7:00 am to 8:00 am
Judges check-in and breakfast, Christensen Hall of Fame, King Center

8:00 am to 8:30 am
Judges briefing, Christensen Hall of Fame, King Center

8:30 am to 10:00 am
Closed judging, All grades in King Center 

10:00 am to 12:00 pm
Student interviews/open judging, All grades in King Center

12:00 pm to 1:00 pm
Lunch and deadline to turn in scores, lunch provided for judges only in Christensen Hall of Fame, King Center (students are on their own)

1:00 pm to 1:30 pm 
Special awards judging for high school students only, King Center

1:30 pm to 2:30 pm
Projects open to the public, King Center

3:00 pm to 4:00 pm
Awards presentation, King Center

4:00 pm to 5:00 pm
Project tear-down (projects left after 5:00 will be discarded)


Congratulations to Grayson Nelson from Sturgis Brown High School, the 2016 High Plains Regional Science and Engineering Fair overall winner for his project "Devolution of ampicillin resistance of E.coli."  Grayson will be representing the High Plains area at the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair in Phoenix, Arizona, from May 8-13.
