Chinese Students and Scholars Association (CSSA) at South Dakota School of Mines and Technology (SDSMT) has been founded for more than ten years.

There are lot of Chinese students and scholars from mainland China, Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan, have been studying or working at Departments of Atmospheric Science, Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Metallurgical Engineering, SDSMT.

Currently, the executive officer is Li Ping.
