The Solar Rolar was the first car ever produced by the the Solar Motion Team. Before the introduction of the
American Solar Challenge and the
Formula Sun Grand Prix the major solar car race in the United States was SunRayce. Tech started competing in the SunRayce competitions in 1995. The "Rayce" covered about 1250 miles from Indianapolis, IN to Golden, CO. The car is on display in Pierre, South Dakota at the Science Discovery Center.
