WiSE Outreach
WiSE provides several opportunities throughout the year to get involved with outreach events, that help us to inspire and connect with the next generation of STEMinists. We host and co-sponsor the annual Women in Science conference, a one day event that is designed to expose and
encourage girls, grades 6-12 to pursue careers in a STEM field. Four hundred girls from western South Dakota attend the conference, during which they attend an exhibit hall as well as speaker sessions that are provided by women in a variety of STEM fields.
Other outreach opportunities include an annual Halloween STEM night hosted by Dakota Horizons Girl Scouts, and student panel sessions at our Go Women's events during Go To Mines days.
