MS Degree in Chemical Engineering
A growing number of undergraduate students are interested in extending their chemical engineering skills beyond the B.S. degree level, and obtaining a
Masters degree. This process is now made more streamlined with the Accelerated MS Degree in Chemical
Engineering. The Accelerated MS Degree program allows a student to complete both the BS and MS degrees in chemical engineering within 5 years. This applies to both of the
MS degree types - non-thesis (based only on coursework) and thesis (coursework plus research). Students
must formally apply to the
South Dakota Mines graduate school during their junior year in the BS chemical engineering program.
