Independent Study in Humanities and Social Sciences
Independent studies are designed so that a student can work with a particular professor on a course of self-study. For more information, see
the South Dakota Mines catalog, and be sure to talk to the participating professor before you sign up for one of these courses. In general, each unit should correspond to about 45 hours worth of effort on the part of the student.
