Faculty-Led Programs

Faculty-led programs allow students to study with a SD Mines professor in another country. Most are short-term and carry academic credit.

Black Hills Natural Sciences Field Station (BHNSFS) 

The Black Hills Natural Sciences Field Station offers field camps during the summer months in Turkey, Iceland, Ecuador, Nepal and Spain.

Exchange Programs

Direct Enrollment (at International Universities)

Direct enrollment allows students to choose a university (other than an exchange partner) and directly enroll there.

Language Immersion

Language immersion programs allow students to learn through living in a culture and listening to the language on a daily basis. Many program providers offer language immersion options.

Student-Led Humanitarian Projects

Student-led humanitarian projects allow students to participate in service projects in another country, applying their engineering skills while learning more about the culture they are serving.
