Summer Conferencing

When travelling to Rapid City for business or pleasure, South Dakota Mines is the ideal place to stay. Whether your travels bring you for the weekend or an extended stay, we are in the heart of the Black Hills. Conveniently located one mile from downtown Rapid City. If you have time, visiting Mt. Rushmore and Keystone is a must, and only a 30-minute drive. Along with plenty of parking for vans and buses, our residence hall rooms are all equipped with individual beds and A/C for your comfort!.

Summer Internships in the Black Hills

Students with internships in the Rapid City area are welcome to stay on campus at South Dakota Mines from mid-May - mid-August.

Internship Housing - Rocker Square Apartments

Furnished apartments with separate bedrooms and a full kitchen. (Cooking utensils are not provided.) Each apartment has 4 separate bedrooms with 1 full size bed in each room.
