Change Your @Mines Student E-mail password

Student email is hosted by Gmail and the password is separate from campus services like Computer logins, D2L, self-service registration and SNAP.

  1. In order to change your @Mines email address, please go to and sign-in with your current @Mines email address and password.

  2. Once you are signed in, click on your name in the TOP RIGHT and click on My Account.  That should pop-up a new window.  

  3. Now look for a tab named Sign-in & Security (on the left hand side), click on Signing in to Google.

  4. There will be a new pop-up a new window entitled Sign-in & security.  On the right-hand side, there is a box entitled Password & sign-in method.  Click the Password link inside this box.

  5. A sign-in windows will appear.  Enter your current password and click Sign In.

  6. Once you sign in, the next window will ask for you to enter a new password twice.  Enter the same password twice and hit Change Password.

You should now be able to log-in to your @Mines email account using your new password.  Please contact the ITS Help Desk if you have any difficulties with this process.
