Research Expertise
Dr. Hadi Fekrmandi’s areas of research expertise include Structural Health Monitoring, Advanced Manufacturing and Automation, Controls and Autonomous Systems, Inspection Robotic Platforms, Sensors and Instrumentation. Currently his research is focused on Design and Development of Intelligent Mechatronics Systems, Internet of Things (IoTs) and Big Data Analysis in Engineering, Reliability Engineering and Bio-Mechatronics.
Brief Bio
Dr. Hadi Fekrmandi is an Assistant Professor of Mechanical Engineering at South Dakota School of Mines and Technology. Previously, he was a post-doctoral research associate at Florida International University’s Applied Research Center (ARC) where he served as the task lead for US Department of Energy’s Office of Environmental Management. He is a Registered Professional Licensed Engineer (PE) and a member of American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME), Prognostics and Health Management Society (PHM) and Golden Key International Honor Society. He has over 35 journal and conference publications and he is a reviewer for Elsevier’s Measurement Journal and Journal of Robotics and Computer-Aided Manufacturing. He is coordinating the Advanced Intelligent Mechatronics Systems (AIMS) Research Laboratory at South Dakota School of Mines and Technology.
