Research Expertise
Bamdad Lessani research interests include computational fluid dynamics (CFD), turbulence modeling, large-eddy and direct numerical simulations (LES/DNS) of turbulent flows.
Brief Bio
Bamdad Lessani joined the ME department of SDSM&T in August 2014. He received his Ph.D. from Free University of Brussels (Vrije Universiteit Brussel) in 2003, after which he started a two-year post-doc at University catholique de Louvain, Belgium. He worked as an Assistant Professor at Tehran Polytechnic University from 2005 to 2011. Prior to joining SDSM&T, he was a visiting professor at University of Toronto serving as a researcher and sessional lecturer for two years, and working as a hydraulic system/reliability engineer in industry for one year.
At the undergraduate level Bamdad Lessani teaches fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, and heat transfer. At the graduate level he teaches computational fluid dynamics, turbulence modeling, advanced combustion, applied engineering analysis, and advanced heat transfer.
