Holiday Concerts Include Campus & Cathedral Performances

RAPID CITY, S.D. (Nov. 16, 2016) – The community is invited to four fall and holiday music concerts performed on campus and in the Cathedral by students in the South Dakota School of Mines & Technology music program.

All events are free. The concerts are:

  • Friday, Nov. 18, 7:30 p.m. – The University Orchestra and Brass Choir perform their annual Fall Classics Concert in the Music Center on campus. The concert will be directed by Haley Armstrong, director of bands, and Tammy Schnittgrund, instructor.
  • Saturday, Dec. 3, and Sunday, Dec. 4, 7:30 p.m. – The annual Holiday at the Cathedral Concert features the Master Chorale, University Choir and Concert Choir at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Cathedral, 520 Cathedral Drive in Rapid City. Armstrong will conduct the performances.
  • Monday, Dec. 5, 7:30 p.m. – The Symphonic Band and Jazz Band will offer their annual Holiday Band Concert in the Music Center. Armstrong will conduct the performance.
