Participants can register to take part in the
2018 Dublin Dash online
or at SD Mines’ O’Harra Stadium the morning of the event.
RAPID CITY,
S.D. (Feb. 27, 2018) – The 12th annual Dublin Dash 5K Fun Run/Walk begins at 9
a.m. on Saturday, March 17. The event is sponsored by the South Dakota School
of Mines & Technology’s American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE).
Entry is open
to the public and runners may preregister online
here. Early registration for Mines students and Black Hills Runners Club
members is $15 and $20 for the public. Early registration ends at noon on March
16. Race-day registration and check-in is from 8-8:45 a.m. and is $25 for all participants.
The 5K race begins at the SD Mines O'Harra Stadium and ends at the site of old Memorial Park tennis courts, near
Eighth and Omaha.
The Dublin Dash
is the main fundraiser for the School of Mines AIChE. Race proceeds help defray
costs for Mines students to attend national and regional conferences, as well
as fund community outreach efforts and student scholarships.
Prizes are
awarded to individuals and groups with the most original costumes. A post-race
ceremony is planned for Murphy’s Pub downtown.
