SD Mines Music Department Hosts “Fantasy and Fright” Concert

The South Dakota School of Mines & TechnologyMusic Center presents “Fantasy and Fright - Stage and Scream!” at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 11, in the Music Center on the SD Mines campus (map here). The concert is free and open to the public.

“Fantasy and Fright - Stage and Scream!” includes Dr. Haley Armstrong, director of bands, and Dr. Matthew Bumbach, director of choirs, who will lead Mines’ jazz band, wind ensemble and master chorale performing musical selections from the dreams and nightmares of composers and film producers through the centuries.

The media is invited to an open rehearsal at 5 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 10, in the Music Center. Armstrong and Bumbach will be available for interviews prior to the start of the rehearsal.

Doors open at 7 p.m.
