summer camps that promote STEM (Science, Technology Engineering and Math) education.
Summer Camps Ranked Among Top in Nation:
The university’s
pre-college summer camps give young people valuable hands-on experiences
that can make a real impact on their lives. The camps are designed to build
excitement for future careers in STEM fields. Each camp lasts five days and
students from all over the country take part in this opportunity.
The organization Value Colleges ranks SD Mines summer camps for pre-college
students at number 19 in the nation in their publication titled, “Top
50 Best Pre-College Summer Programs for 2018.”
The organization Data Science Degree Programs also places SD
Mines on a list of best
STEM camps in the country.
Online Graduate
Programs Recognized Among Top Five in the US:
College Choice ranks SD Mines’ Online Master's in Engineering programs third in
the United States for affordability in the Online Master’s program. Mines
offers three online master’s degrees in Construction Engineering and
Management, Engineering
Management, and Mining
Engineering and Management. College Choice reviewed schools nationwide
and found that SD Mines’ online program stood out in both quality, flexibility

Electrical
Engineering Program Receives High Honors:
According to College Choice, SD Mines ranks 24th
in the “35
Best Master’s in Electrical Engineering.” The school’s Electrical Engineering Department prepares
graduate students to analyze, interpret, and evaluate complex engineering data.
Students can explore the scientific and technical aspects of circuits and
signals while also developing leadership and communication skills. This ranking
comes on top of a previous
report placing Mines’ Department of Mechanical Engineering in the top ten
programs in the nation.
