Student-Designed Miniature Steel Bridges on Display

Steel bridges from last year’s SD Mines students are displayed in the Civil & Mechanical Engineering Building.

RAPID CITY, S.D. (Nov. 4, 2016) – The public is invited to view miniature steel bridge designs of civil engineering students. Students in the introduction to engineering class from the Department of Civil & Environmental Engineering have designed and constructed miniature bridges, which will be tested for strength after the display week. 

Bridges will be displayed throughout the day on the second floor hallway of the Civil & Mechanical Engineering Building. The public is invited to view the bridges from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Nov. 8-16.
