Student Ambassadors

Student Ambassadors serve the university by helping with outreach to prospective students, conducting tours of the university, providing services at university events and presentations, and acting as hosts for events at the home of the SD Mines president. They represent a wide variety of academic departments and come from all over the nation. If you're looking to get a student's perspective on questions about SD Mines, a Student Ambassador is a great person to ask.

Why did you choose SD Mines over a different school?
I felt that SD Mines was invested in me, where CO Mines took 7 months to respond by email. I got a personal phone call from Ms. Kugler and calls after asking if I needed help with anything at all. As soon as I got to SD Mines everyone from the professors to the president were invested in my success.

Do you have any advice for future Hardrockers?
Study, study hard and early and you'll have plenty of time when you want it instead of studying when you'd rather be on a hike with friends or watching a movie in the common room.
