Residence Hall Connections

Getting online in the Dorms is easy!

All South Dakota Mines dorms are wired for Internet connections and the connection cost is included in your room cost. All you need is a computer and a network card. All South Dakota Mines-owned laptops are wireless and LAN ready. 

Please ensure your device's DHCP and DNS settings are set to "automatic".

Not every network port is activated in each dorm room.  Please try other ports in the room to see if they are active.  If you need a port activated please contact Residence Life or ITS.

Please Note: Your activities are subject to policies concerning acceptable use of computing and networking services at South Dakota Mines. All DormNet internet connectivity is provided by CenturyLink.
