RAPID CITY, S.D. --- South Dakota School of Mines men’s
basketball head coach Jason Henry is pleased to announce the addition of
another high quality student-athlete to the 2014-15 roster as Kendall Waters joins
Waters is a 6-foot-2-inch scoring guard from Anderson, Ind.,
who played hoops for the Pendleton Heights High School Arabians averaging 18
points and seven assists per game. He continued on to prep school where he
averaged over 25 points and 8 assists each game.
“We are very excited to have Kendall on board,” Henry
said. “We have been recruiting him for a couple years as one of our top
Waters has a prep school career high of 39 points scored in
a single game and has set the three-game scoring record during the USA Prep
National Tournament with a cumulative total of 93 points.
“Kendall is a scoring point guard that has a great feel for
the game and see’s the floor very well, but one of the best parts of his game
is his leadership,” Henry said. “We have some pretty high expectations for
Kendall and we know he will produce on and off the court.”
While attending South Dakota Mines, Waters plans to pursue a
degree in Industrial Engineering.
