Become an Alumni Ambassador . . .
and be an Advocate for South Dakota Mines
There are so many ways to get involved with the Alumni Ambassador program. You can connect with future Hardrockers and share your advice about what it takes to succeed. The Office of Admissions will coordinate the projects and provide all materials. The time commitment between projects is variable, so there is sure to be a project that fits your schedule!
STEM Career Presentation
The STEM Career Presentation is a great resource for local students in the Black Hills to learn about careers in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. Hosted around the same time as the South Dakota Mines Career Fair, local students will be invited to campus to learn about STEM careers from recent Mines graduates.
Blog Interviews
One thing that future Hardrockers love about South Dakota Mines is meeting actual students, professors, and alumni. Hearing about your experiences, career track, and background can provide encouragement and inspiration to prospective students.
See an example of one of our alumni interviews. We'd love to showcase your story too!
Represent Mines at a College Fair
College
fairs are hosted in the fall and spring at high schools and event centers
around the country. This is where students go to learn about different
institutions and make an inquiry for more information. Help us reach more
students by volunteering at a college fair near you!
Extra
If you any ideas for extra projects, feel free to send them our way!
