SD Mines Among the Best in the Country: SD Mines has been named in the top
1 percent nationwide by College Factual in four categories – Best Value in
Engineering, Best Value (no aid) nationwide, Best Value in Chemical Engineering

of criteria, including SAT and ACT scores of admitted students, educational
resources, students-to-faculty ratio, degree completion, 6-year graduation rate,
