COVID-19 Dashboard
South Dakota Mines is committed to sharing data indicating the number of known cases of COVID-19 for students, faculty, and staff. Data will be updated as frequently as possible. Because some students may initially be recorded using their permanent
residences, Mines data may not always align with the number of cases reported on the South Dakota Department of Health (DOH) website. Accurate documentation on the DOH website may take a few days.
In addition, the South Dakota Department of Health will post weekly, aggregated COVID-19 positive information for higher education and K-12. This DOH information will be updated, based on DOH positive
case reports, every Monday by noon.
Data displayed within this dashboard is self-reported by South Dakota Mines students, faculty, and staff and verified by university Emergency Management Personnel.
Active Case = Faculty, staff, or students currently in isolation (COVID-19 positive).
Isolation = Separating sick people with a contagious disease from people who are not sick.
Quarantine = Separating and restricting the movement of people who are exposed to a contagious disease to see if they become sick.
To self-report, fill out: COVID-19 Case Notification Form. For more information on self-reporting: Notification Procedures if experiencing Symptoms/Confirmed COVID-19
