Mines Myth Busters Experiment with Fire Feb. 21

RAPID CITY, S.D. (Feb. 2, 2017) – Can you tell a tall tale from the truth? Faculty and students at the South Dakota School of Mines & Technology will team up for Mines Myth Busters & Super Science to debunk or prove some of history’s most popular urban legends and offer interactive experiments from 6-7 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 21, at the Surbeck Center ballroom on campus.  

Watch as Mines myth busters experiment with fire, test household items for radioactivity, offer hands-on green chemistry activities and more. Find out which myths make the cut and which get busted with Mines’ signature twist of explosive experimentation. This event is free, and all ages are invited to attend.
