Hundreds of Prospective Students Stream to SD Mines for ‘Go To Mines’ Open House March 24, June 15 and July 21

The South Dakota School of Mines & Technology will host hundreds of prospective students during three upcoming Go To Mines events.

RAPID CITY, S.D. (March 21, 2018) –  The South Dakota School of Mines & Technology will host hundreds of prospective students during three upcoming Go To Mines events.

High school students and their families are invited to SD Mines on March 24, June 15 and July 21, to tour departments, residence halls and other facilities and to meet faculty and current students. This year’s event will include information on the new Esports Athletics Program at Mines plus an after-hours game session where students can meet members of the Hardrocker Esports Club.

The in-depth campus visits are open to students of all ages, particularly juniors and seniors exploring their college options.

SD Mines, a science and engineering research institution offering bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral degrees, is consistently ranked among the top returns on investment nationally for a college education. The job placement rate is 96 percent, with an average early-career salary for graduates of over $63,000. The university enrolls approximately 2,800 students with a student-to-faculty ratio of 15:1.
