Associate of Arts in General Studies
The Associate of Arts degree in General Studies provides a
strong foundation and flexible pathway for students to achieve their ultimate
goal of graduating with a bachelor’s degree. This two-year degree program
allows students to explore a variety of disciplines while completing general
education coursework in mathematics, science, humanities, art, and social
sciences. The program consists of 60 credit hours, 24 of which must meet
general education requirements, and 36 of which are electives (including up to
9 hours at the 300-level). For students planning to pursue a specific
bachelor’s degree, elective courses should be chosen with the requirements of
their future degree in mind. All general studies students have access to
dedicated and supportive advising to ensure they get the most out of their
degree and are set on a path to successfully pursue their educational and
career goals. See the course catalog for more information and requirements.
