Presidential Award for Outstanding Professor
Established to recognize a full-time faculty member who has demonstrated a sustained record of outstanding overall accomplishments.

Benard A. Ennenga Award
To recognize any teaching assistant, teaching associate, instructor, assistant professor, associate professor, or full professor who has demonstrated excellence in teaching and/or motivating students.

Virginia Simpson Award
Open to any faculty or staff member to recognize and encourage new or continued involvement with the Rapid City community. This involvement may be through participation in community activities, social services, and/or volunteer services, etc.

Dick Kitchen Award for Outstanding Staff Person
To honor non-faculty staff members who have distinguished themselves by demonstrated excellence in their work and by encouraging students to complete their education at Mines.

James and Connie Green CAMP Faculty Award
The James and Connie Green CAMP Faculty Award provides support to a faculty advisor of any major student project that competes at a national level and involves mechanical engineering students.

Distinguished Professor Award
The recipient of the Distinguished Professor Award is selected on the basis of sustained high-level achievement in the scholarly activities of teaching, research, or other creative endeavors, and service. Recipients meet all requirements for the rank of full professor and have distinguished themselves by a high dedication to teaching as demonstrated by recognition from colleagues and students; achievements that exemplify high quality research or other scholarly creative endeavors through recognition from peers of national and international status; and accomplishments that include evidence of high-quality, sustained service to the institution, community, region, or nation.
