Step 3: Official Transcripts
Contact your high school and any post-secondary schools you have attended to request an official transcript be mailed directly to our admissions office.
Step 4: ACT and/or SAT Scores
List South Dakota School of Mines & Technology with the code(s) below to have your results sent directly to us.

Financial Aid Reminders:
- Remember to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) as soon as possible on/after October 1st (prior to the fall semester you plan to attend).
- Apply and be accepted by January 15th to be considered for freshman scholarships.

Transfer Students

Payable after completing online application or by check to South Dakota School of Mines to the address below. Any student that attended a Regental institution in the three terms prior to the term of the application is eligible for a fee waiver.
Step 3: Official Transcripts
Official transcripts are required from all post-secondary institutions applicants have attended, excluding other South Dakota Board of Regents institutions. They may be sent electronically or via mail to the address listed below. Official
high school transcripts are required for students who have not yet completed an associate or bachelors degree.
Step 4: ACT and/or SAT Scores
Applicants under the age of 21 who have completed less than 24 semester credits of college work must submit official copies of ACT or SAT I scores in addition to the above documents. Applicants with fewer
than 24 semester credit hours of college work completed must also meet the freshman admission requirements. List SD Mines with the code(s) below to have your results sent directly to us.
