Fuel Your Future with STEM

Discover our outdoor classroom
A vibrant hub in the scenic Black Hills, just miles from Mount Rushmore, Sturgis, Crazy Horse Monument, Custer State Park and Sanford Underground Research Facility. With a strong local economy, a growing technology sector and a welcoming community, Rapid City offers the perfect balance of career-building opportunities and outdoor adventure.
Some of my favorite things about being a student at South Dakota Mines are the things that happen outside of the classroom. I have had some of my most memorable and meaningful college experiences participating in the Drama Club shows, making professional connections throuigh the Biomedical Engineering Society, and supporting other women in STEM through the WiSE program.![]()
