Adventures in Aviation
Ever flown on an airplane and wondered how it worked? This camp will introduce you to the world of aviation.
We will take you on an adventure that includes, understanding flight, aircraft maintenance
and building, avionics, air traffic control and much more. You will get to fly our
flight simulator and go for a ride in a small airplane if you wish. We will tour
Rapid City Airport and learn how it works from behind the scenes. At the end of this
camp, you will understand the wide variety of careers available in aviation and how
many of them connect to STEM.
Enrollment Process
All prospective campers must complete the following items before their summer camp application will be complete.
1. Submit the online registration
2. Submit teacher recommendation.
3. Submit waivers
Camp Details
Dates: June 15–18, 2026
Times: Camp will run 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. each day (Monday-Thursday). Lunch will be provided for campers. Thursday at 1:00 PM we invite parents to come on campus for a cookie reception.
Audience: Students entering their junior or senior year of high school, as well as recent high school graduates
