Undergraduate Education

The Department of Chemistry, Biology, and Health Sciences offers three undergraduate degrees in the fields of biology, chemistry, and health sciences.

The mission of the chemistry program is to provide undergraduate students with a deep understanding of chemical and physical phenomena as well as critical thinking skills in chemical problem-solving and a command of the major subdisciplines of chemistry. The chemistry undergraduate bachelor’s degree is certified by the American Chemical Society.

Biology undergraduate students will be rigorously trained in the basic biological sciences with a strong background in chemistry, mathematics, and physics.

The health sciences degree is a flexible science degree requiring core courses in biology, chemistry, physics, and math while allowing for multidisciplinary electives and support courses from other area, including psychology, sociology, and humanities.
