Undergraduate Education

Students studying industrial engineering and engineering management at the School of Mines will earn a BS degree in industrial engineering and engineering management

Students will be educated in liberal arts, higher mathematics, basic sciences, engineering sciences, and engineering design. The experience will be augmented by a variety of civil and environmental and natural science laboratory experiences, and a two-semester capstone multidisciplinary design course. At the School of Mines, undergraduate students start collaborating with faculty on research, an honor often reserved only for graduate students.

As an undergraduate industrial engineering and engineering management student at SD Mines, you benefit from award-winning instructors, small class size, and ready access to undergraduate research opportunities, co-ops and internships, and fun extracurricular activities.
